About The Author

Holly Hakes Petersen stopped drinking in 1992. She became a certified alcohol and drug counselor in 1998 in Oregon. She later became a certified gambling counselor, as well.

Holly has a learned perspective she brings to this work in having been a practicing alcoholic for 20 years, participated in Alcoholics Anonymous for the most part of her 16 years of recovery, and received training and worked in the field of addiction. She personally understands the needs of women in recovery.

Today, she is a Personal Life Coach for women in transition and an author. She and her husband make their home in Arizona.

We cannnot adopt the way of living that was satisfactory a hundred years ago. The world in which we live has changed, and we must change with it.
